San Diego Seduction @ Seattle Mist: LFL Open Thread

Lfl-logo_medium

Are you ready for some Lingerie Football? The second game of the season kicks off in Seattle tonight! The official preview:

WHO SAYS DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS, NOT THE SEATTLE MIST NOR THE SAN DIEGO SEDUCTION. BOTH TEAMS INCLUDE A DINK-DUNK WEST COAST OFFENSE WITH QUARTERBACKS THAT STRETCH THE FIELD.

SAN DIEGO WILL INCLUDE A PASSING ATTACK THAT WILL BE LED BY QUARTERBACK #8 RACHEL CARROCCIO WHO RECENTLY SHED SOME POUNDS AND HAS BECOME A MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE AND MOBILE QUARTERBACK AS A RESULT. ONE OF CARROCCIO'S FAVORITE TARGETS WILL BE SURE-HANDED WIDE RECEIVER #16 JENN FRAZER.

SEATTLE WILL HAVE THE LUXURY OF TWO SOLID QUARTERBACKS IN THEIR ROTATION WHO INCLUDE #4 NATASHA LINDSEY AND #15 LINDSEY BLAINE. SEATTLE HEAD COACH ROB LONG ASSURES THAT NO DEFENSE WILL BE PREPARED FOR THEIR OFFENSE. WHILE STARTING OUT IN THE CELLAR OF THE LFL IN THE PRE-SEASON, SEATTLE HAS EARNED THE MOST IMPROVED STATUS AND COULD RUN OVER SAN DIEGO IN THEIR HOME OPENER.

WHILE YOU CAN EXPECT A HIGH-SCORING AFFAIR, THE GAME WILL COME DOWN TO WHO CAN MAKE A CRUCIAL STOP ON DEFENSE. NEITHER DEFENSE HAS AN IDENTITY AND COULD STRUGGLE THROUGHOUT THE SEASON, ESPECIALLY IN THIS GAME FEATURING TWO OF THE LEAGUE'S MOST POTENT OFFENSES. EXPECT A LOUD AND ROWDY CROWD IN ONE OF THE LFL'S TOUGHEST ATMOSPHERES FOR VISITING TEAMS, SHOWARE CENTER ARENA.

CATCH THE GAME IN SEATTLE ON MYQ2 AND MY33 IN SAN DIEGO OR WATCH IT ONLINE STREAMING LIVE AT LFLUS.COM - PREMIERING 9PM PST / 11PM CST / 12PM EST - ON DEMAND REPLAYS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT LFLUS.COM

You can really feel the excitement of an ALL CAPS preview! I like how neither of these teams have played a game and every roster is filled with rookies. You know what's really strange? Sequential roster numbers. No retired numbers! It's like watching a baby being born. Born into lingerie and playing arena football.

It's pretty clear

Seattle brought football players to the game, San Diego looks like just a bunch of girls.

Game over

Seattle Mist wins 20-6.

Game ball has to go to #15 Lindsey Blaine who I can’t find on any rosters.

Quarterback?

What happened to the 2 solid quarterbacks that Seattle boasted of? I saw some strong runs from running backs and Lindsey, but that was it. We need to find a strong female arm in Seattle that doesn’t buckle under pressure and makes some smart decisions.
