2009 World Men's Curling Championships

With all the pomp and circumstance surrounding baseball starting, the double F word, the pro football draft, and Vin Diesel, I bet you forgot about curling. Our friends over at Universal Sports are all over the furious ice-sweeping, stone-sliding action. Yeah, we've got friends. Jon Ackerman has this tidy little preview, which I'll summarize by telling you Canada is the Tiger Woods of curling.

Today, the U.S. of A. is taking on the world power that is Canada. The Canadian media doesn't think we have a shot, but we love being the underdog.

Yesterday, we faced off against Japan. I tried to watch this video of it, but no such luck. We won 9-1 and are tied with Scotland for third place.
